Hastings, New Zealand. Full-time. $30 to $35 per hour. Those are the basics of this Technical & QC / Production Support role with a New Zealand-owned fresh juice manufacturer that supplies premium juices and smoothies to the local market and abroad.
The job is about standards. You will make sure systems, processes and people meet them, working shoulder to shoulder with the production crew and with the technical, health and safety and management teams. When something goes wrong on the line, you find out why, fix it and make sure it does not come back. You will also train staff in a practical way.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Production directly with hands-on technical and quality input.
- Monitor production processes and help track down and solve quality issues.
- Back up food safety, HACCP and quality requirements on the floor.
- Check that products meet customer, regulatory and internal quality specifications through inspections, checks and investigations, and close out follow-up actions.
- Support H&S initiatives and safe working practices across production.
- Train and coach employees with practical, on-the-floor sessions.
- Help investigate incidents, complaints, non-conformances and quality issues to their source, set measures to stop recurrence, and confirm corrective and preventative actions are complete and effective.
- Keep accurate technical, quality, compliance and training records.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in food manufacturing, quality, technical or compliance
- Able to work in a team situation or independently
- Confident dealing directly with production employees
- Practical and approachable
- Willing to get hands-on on the factory floor
- Strong food safety and quality skills
- Sound knowledge of HACCP and manufacturing requirements
- Comfortable with H&S responsibilities and risk management
- Confident trainer
- Confident communicator
- Able to investigate problems, get to the root cause and find practical solutions
- Highly organised with a good eye for detail
- Confident handling documentation, reporting and audit requirements
