Quality Assurance Officer

Manufacturing · Auckland, New Zealand · Full-Time · Discussed at interview

Straight to it: an Auckland company making food and dietary supplements has a full-time opening for a Quality Assurance Officer. Its lines include dairy and nutritional powders, powdered drink products, sachets, hard capsules and tablets.

The employer is clear about who fits. You need practical experience running quality systems in a food manufacturing plant and a firm grasp of New Zealand food manufacturing and export requirements. Laboratory-only experience may not be enough.

Stay alert as you apply: a genuine employer will never ask you to send money to secure a job offer, so walk away from anyone who does.

  • Products and suppliers: approve intermediate products, packaging materials, finished products and raw materials after review; send testing to accredited third-party laboratories, review the results and act on non-conforming ones; check formulations, product specifications, manufacturing documents and labels; support supplier approval, the review of supplier documents and performance monitoring.
