Cairns in Queensland has 12 full-time Childcare Worker vacancies across two childcare centres, all working with children between 0 and 6 years old.
Here is what matters. You must be enrolled in a Certificate III, already have it, or have a completed Diploma in Early Childhood. On the visa front, this employer is cleared by the Government to sponsor overseas workers who hold the right qualifications, and the occupation is on the approved list. Expect these conditions: the visa type and its rules, passing an ACECQA skills assessment, your English test results and getting through a trial period.
Expect hands-on work, from keeping rooms safe and welcoming to running a quality curriculum, keeping EYLF, NQF and NQS records in order and talking with parents daily.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep every room safe, fun, warm and welcoming
- Put a quality curriculum into action and support its delivery
- Record children's learning in line with the EYLF, NQF and NQS
- Stay in touch with mums, dads and carers, building rapport and a solid link between home and centre
- Earn the trust of children and families through warm, respectful relationships, and work well with fellow educators
Requirements & Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in a Certificate III, already have it, or have a completed Diploma in Early Childhood
- You genuinely enjoy the company of children aged 0-6 years and bring a hard-working, upbeat, open-minded attitude with fresh ideas
- Excellent communication on paper and in conversation
- Comfortable on a computer, including electronic programming and portfolios
- Hold a valid, current Queensland Blue Card
- Know your way around the National Regulations and National Quality Standards and what they require
- Once successful, First Aid qualifications plus Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
