A general practice near Newcastle, New South Wales is hiring a Registered Nurse on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on clinic job with real responsibility.
You will triage, manage chronic disease plans and health assessments, give immunisations including to children, and perform IV iron infusions, venesections, ECGs and spirometry. You will also run the recall system and keep stock and the cold chain under control.
General practice experience is preferable. If you do not have it, the practice provides on-the-job training for the right candidate. Temporary Residence / Permanent Residence sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle patient liaison and phone calls when required
- Triage every patient who comes in
- Write chronic disease management plans and complete health assessments
- Run the practice's recall and reminder system
- Take charge of stock control, ordering and the cold chain
- Carry out ECG and spirometry testing
- Perform iron infusions and venesections as IV procedures
- Manage wounds and deliver immunisations, childhood immunisations included
- Assist with minor procedures, maintain equipment and support the GPs and other staff when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold current unconditional registration with AHPRA
- A current immunisations certificate, or readiness to complete training
- A CPR certificate
- A current Working with Children Check
- A good work ethic with solid organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- General practice experience is preferable
