Cairns needs coffee people, and this role suits someone who can lead. A specialty roaster in Far North Queensland is hiring several Baristas and wants energetic professionals to run its coffee programme.
Expect to keep drinks consistent and efficient, coach the team around you and push product innovation. Hours are full-time, 5am to 2pm on weekdays, with weekend availability. Employee sponsorship is open to these positions under the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement (FNQ DAMA).

Key Responsibilities
- Build up, upskill and manage the baristas
- Serve each customer a genuine, efficient, top-tier coffee experience
- Lead QC cupping sessions and work hand in hand with the roasting team
- Support green bean purchasing selections and handle production roasting when it is needed
- Hold the line on WH&S standards across the space
Requirements & Eligibility
- Specialty coffee experience and in-depth knowledge; roasting, barista training, competition, cupping or Q-grader experience would be highly advantageous
- Leadership and team-building skills you can prove
- Love of people and customer service, plus strong time management and organisational skills
- A growth mindset and willingness to start at 5am
