Here is a serious kitchen role for an experienced cook. A professional hospitality group in Sydney is hiring a Tandoori and Curry Chef, and it wants someone who can own the tandoor, handle a full curry menu and keep a high-volume service on track.
This is not an entry-level post. You will run your own section, keep standards firm, train junior staff and help create new dishes. The position is full-time and stable, and sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Run and manage the Tandoor section with full ownership
- Turn out naan, roti, kebabs, tikka and other tandoori dishes
- Cook a wide range of Indian curries, authentic and contemporary
- Handle marinades, gravies, sauces, stocks and all mise en place
- Deliver consistent portions and sharp presentation at high-volume service
- Enforce food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Control wastage and assist with stock management
- Drive new dishes and menu development while training junior kitchen staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
- Strong experience on the Tandoor section
- Strong experience on the Curry section
- Excellent knowledge of Indian spices and marinades
- Excellent knowledge of Indian cooking techniques
- Experience in a busy, high-volume restaurant
- Strong knife and preparation skills
- Holds quality and consistency under pressure
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Reliable, professional attitude with strong teamwork and communication
- Available to work evenings and weekends as required
