Here is a serious contract for experienced network engineers. A Sydney bank is running an infrastructure and technology modernisation programme, and an IT consultancy delivering finance, government, telecommunications and enterprise work since 2003 needs several Senior Network Engineers to deliver it.
The brief is clear. You take designs for critical networking constructs, implement them to support large-scale migration phases and hand them over properly. The core tools are Cisco firewalls, Cisco ACI and F5 load balancers.
Visa sponsorship and existing visa takeover opportunities are available. These are long-term engagements, strictly onsite, so applicants need to be onshore in Sydney already and hold a valid work visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure demanding network constructs across Cisco ACI and ASA
- Turn high-level design specifications into concrete firewall configurations
- Execute passive and canary deployments, validating rule sets as you go
- Configure F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution and manage them
- Deliver high availability and disaster recovery compliance through F5 integration
- Run rigorous change control and rollback procedures
- Monitor performance after deployment
- Maintain handover documentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Strong hands-on experience in Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC environments
- Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy: deployment and troubleshooting
- Expertise configuring F5 GTM and LTM appliances and supporting them
- Solid understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring, with CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications highly regarded
- Based in Sydney and holding a valid work visa for these strictly onsite roles
