Here is a straight opportunity for seasoned heavy vehicle drivers. A leading Australian grower and packer of carrots, onions and potatoes needs several MC truck drivers on permanent full-time contracts. You will haul its produce between farm and packing sites in South Australia, feeding supermarket, independent retail and export orders.
The job is based at a regional site in South Australia and you must be willing to move there. You answer to the Transport Manager, work across a range of transport tasks and follow a 7-day roster with varying start times.
The employer has stated it is an approved sponsor and is prepared to consider suitably qualified candidates who need a visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive produce loads and maintain the truck in good condition
- Carry out thorough inspections of the truck before and after every trip and report problems
- Inspect the load before each run so that loads and straps meet National Heavy Vehicle Standards
- Keep the truck clean and complete all checks and reporting
- Keep exact records of produce carried, delivered and returned
- Maintain logs and records as company procedures require
- Follow safety guidelines and comply with health and safety policies and procedures
- Work as one member of a team across varied transport operations
- Take direction from the Transport Manager
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current unrestricted MC licence (essential)
- High Risk Work Licence (essential)
- Experience driving a manual road ranger transmission, and the ability to handle it
- Two years of previous experience driving trucks
- A strong work ethic and readiness to get hands-on with many types of work
- Flexibility for a 7-day roster with start times that differ
- Close attention to detail and accurate completion of paperwork
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle laws and regulations, load restraint included, and of basic mechanics and maintenance
- Experience carting fresh produce, or with tautliners and tippers, is highly regarded
