Registered Nurses with aged care experience, here is a solid full-time opening in Bunbury, Western Australia. A not-for-profit provider is set to open a purpose-built 180-bed aged care residence in November 2026 and needs RNs who can lead from day one.

The job asks for a confident clinician. You will direct care staff with the Clinical Manager, plan care from thorough assessments, manage medication and infection control, and keep the home ready for accreditation audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct care staff with the Clinical Manager to deliver safe, effective, appropriate care
  • Base care plans on comprehensive assessments and communicate interventions to staff, care recipients, families and the multidisciplinary team
  • Drive positive outcomes for care recipients that match their care plans and safe working practice
  • Provide person-centred care that promotes independence and protects dignity and privacy
  • Monitor every care recipient, report changes and take the right steps
  • Push initiatives that sustain or raise quality of care and quality of life
  • Act as advocate so care recipients make their own informed decisions
  • Collate the information required for funding claims
  • Manage change-of-shift handover with other registered nurses, with confidentiality, dignity and respect at all times
  • Own medication management, infection control, Work Health and Safety and readiness for accreditation audits

Requirements & Eligibility

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
  • Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in aged care
  • Hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary aged care team
  • Sound knowledge of current aged care sector issues and accreditation standards
  • Leadership, effective delegation and a track record of positive care outcomes
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Good problem-solving and organisational skills, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and basic to intermediate computer skills
