Head Chef

Visa sponsorship

Hospitality · Sydney, NSW, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

A luxury Modern Japanese restaurant is set to open in the Sydney CBD in mid 2027, and its owners are taking expressions of interest for the Head Chef now. The group already has several award-winning restaurants to its name.

Here is the job in plain terms. You run the kitchen and its brigade, you work directly with the Executive Chef on menus, and you answer for quality, costs, rosters and stock across sushi, robata, omakase, à la carte and private dining. The room itself is being built with an award-winning Japanese architect and master ceramic artisans, so standards will be high from the start. The group is equally firm on people: a humble but confident leader, respect for every team member and zero tolerance of bullying or intimidation. Sponsorship of a visa is considered for exceptional international candidates.

If you have led premium Japanese kitchens, put that leadership, the team sizes and the cost results you achieved at the front of an English CV. Build a strong CV for Japanese fine dining in Sydney with Build AI CV.
