Caregiver
Visa sponsorship
Healthcare · Christchurch, New Zealand · Full-Time · $23.95 - $28.25/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Here is the deal for overseas applicants. A dementia care home in Christchurch wants a full-time, permanent Caregiver, and as an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer it can sponsor qualified carers on the AEWV. The condition is clear: you need a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 3 or higher caregiving qualification that has been through an International Qualification Assessment (IQA).
The work is hands-on. You will help residents with dementia shower, dress, eat, move and communicate, play your part in their care planning and therapy, record their progress accurately, raise concerns quickly and support registered nurses within their scope.
Plan for a minimum of 30 hours a week on a roster that covers every day and night. Pay runs from $23.95 an hour at Level 1 through $24.06 (Level 2) and $26.16 (Level 3) to $28.25 at Level 4 and beyond.
Your CV should prove you can do this job: name the care settings you have worked in, the residents you supported and your caregiving qualification with its level. Get your carer CV in shape with Build AI CV.
