A vehicle rental branch in Queenstown, New Zealand wants a Customer Service / Groomer. You sell and serve at the desk and on the phone. You also groom the hire fleet, which means cleaning vehicles and getting them road-ready. No pets involved.
The customers are business people, commercial operators and recreational travellers. You answer their queries, advise them, and turn enquiries into quotes and signed contracts. The team is small and it works hard. You help wherever branch operations need you.
This is permanent, full-time work on a roster of 40 hours per week. Opening hours run 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday through Friday, with a 1.00pm close on Saturdays. Know where you stand on sponsorship. The employer's first choice, ideally, is suitable and available NZ workers. It is an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ, and if it cannot make that appointment it can consider candidates who require a work visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Take calls, advise on sales and quote, then write up contracts and close out transactions
- Coordinate vehicle logistics and personally deliver or pick up vehicles
- Own the office administration and the maintenance of customer accounts
- Hold the branch's vehicle and rental fleet to the highest grooming standards and confirm all necessary compliance checks are carried out
- Help identify repair and maintenance issues, escalate them, and manage maintenance and damages as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence (or overseas equivalent) and basic to intermediate computer skills
- A track record in customer-facing service, ideally in the vehicle rental industry, though that is not essential
- Grooming experience from before is preferred, not essential
- Excellent customer service, communication and time management skills, a confident phone manner and great attention to detail
