Sales people who grow accounts, not just keep them, should look hard at this one. A growing FMCG business in Sydney is hiring an Account Manager to drive revenue with independent retail customers on a full-time, hybrid basis.
The work is commercial every day: expanding current accounts, opening new business, negotiating with customers and owning the performance of your territory. Pay is $110,000 to $120,000 per year plus super, and there is a pathway into a Business Manager position as the company expands. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage independent retail customers and key accounts, and develop the portfolio further
- Build customer relationships that hold up over the long term
- Find openings to increase sales in existing accounts
- Develop new business
- Work side by side with customers to understand their needs and uncover commercial opportunities
- Monitor sales performance and hit agreed targets
- Give the wider business clear market and customer insights
- Represent the brand professionally, take ownership of your territory and drive results
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercially hungry, proactive and ambitious
- FMCG, retail, wholesale or field sales experience, or experience in a related environment
- A strong understanding of independent customers and retail
- Proven experience in sales, account management or business development
- A strong commercial mindset aimed at growing sales
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The confidence to spot opportunities and turn them into results
- A hands-on, proactive approach, with strong negotiation and influencing skills
