This is a full-time chef job at a country hotel in regional Victoria, near Sale, and the brief is clear: cook creative, high-quality meals fast and keep standards up from the first order to the last.
The kitchen runs as a team. You will develop new dishes with the Head Chef, handle prep and cooking, keep everything clean and hygienic, answer guest requests without delay and support stock ordering. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Turn out creative, high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen and complete all prep and cooking to a high standard
- Drive new menu ideas with the Head Chef and sharpen the dishes already served
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic, following all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
- Give excellent customer service and act promptly on guest requests
- Back up stock control and supply ordering
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years as a Chef/Cook in a similar hospitality setting
- Formal culinary training or qualifications such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety practices, with strong time management and multitasking skills for a busy kitchen
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Real passion for high-quality meals and for improving the dining experience
