This is a serious leadership role for a chef. A Chef Manager is needed to run the kitchen of an aged care home near Goulburn, NSW, on a permanent, full-time basis. The business behind it is an Australian-owned contract caterer with 25 years across aged care, education, retail and remote services.
Expect Monday to Friday shifts from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. You will plan the kitchen yourself, produce large volumes of fresh food, prepare texture-modified meals for residents with specific diets and keep hygiene standards strict. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate, so strong applicants abroad can apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Run daily kitchen operations independently and set clear priorities
- Cook fresh, nutritious food and manage large-scale production
- Produce texture-modified meals to residents' dietary requirements and established standards
- Enforce high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Serve residents and clients professionally and support a positive dining experience
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised commercial cookery trade qualification
- Current Food Safety Supervisor qualification
- Experience with food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of texture-modified diets and individual dietary requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work alone, manage priorities and maintain high standards
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Ability to meet the site's flu vaccination requirements
