A hotel venue in regional northern Victoria wants a Chef who can take full charge of its culinary teams. Bendigo, VIC is the closest main city. If you are qualified and ready for more responsibility, this is a solid next step.
You will report to the Venue Manager. Expect to bring bold, modern food ideas across several cuisines. Volume kitchen or function experience is an advantage here. Sponsorship is available for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Own menu development
- Drive food production and enforce food standards
- Run food costings plus labour management and costing
- Hold the line on executive management standards and kitchen KPIs
- Help recruit kitchen staff
- Induct and train new staff
- Keep management and staff well informed
- Enforce hygiene, cleanliness and safety
- Lead each culinary team day to day
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years in a similar high-volume venue
- Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery
- High degree of professionalism
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, especially food quality and presentation
- Sound financial capability for kitchen cost management
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a multi-faceted kitchen as a hands-on leader who coaches and motivates
- Energetic, enthusiastic approach and proven problem-solving capability
- Ability to build and contribute to a venue-wide team environment
