New Plymouth, New Zealand. A national vegetation management company wants a Utility Arborist who puts safety first and knows trees well. You would be based at its New Plymouth branch and cover the Taranaki region.
The work is clear-cut. You assess vegetation near powerlines, plan the work that needs doing and coordinate it, then work hand in hand with line crews, clients and property owners so the electricity network stays reliable.
You work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, and overtime is there if you choose it. Training is provided, with room to advance. The business is an accredited employer and can sponsor a candidate on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).

Requirements & Eligibility
- NZQA Level 3 or 4 in arboriculture, or equivalent
- At least a Class 1 licence held
- Experience of at least 1 year
- Solid knowledge of arboriculture, identifying trees and pruning
- Experience using chainsaws, pole saws, wood chippers and other hand tools
- Physically fit; can work outdoors whatever the weather or terrain
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Able to pass a medical
