A welding and fabrication business in Brisbane, Queensland, is hiring qualified special class welders, boilermakers and pipefitters into full-time positions, and it wants people who can take charge.
The work is hands-on and technical. Welders run GMAW (STT), FCAW and GTAW. Pipefitters fit together pipes, gaskets, valves and associated equipment to a range of specifications. You will handle stainless and carbon steel and work straight from drawings.
Leadership matters here. On top of a trade qualification, the business expects strong planning, clear verbal communication and a high level of technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
- Run welds with GMAW (STT), FCAW and GTAW processes
- Assemble and fit pipes, gaskets, valves and associated equipment to specification
- Fabricate in stainless and carbon steel from drawings you read and interpret
- Take the lead and plan work on the job
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualified, with a trade qualification preferred for pipefitters
- Professional welding and fabrication experience, plus pipe laying experience for pipefitters
- Experience with stainless and carbon steel and the ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong leadership, a high level of technical knowledge, excellent planning skills and good verbal communication
- Australian work rights or sponsorship eligibility
