Here is a serious telco role for engineers who already know their way around a tower. A Telecommunications Field Engineer is needed in Brisbane by an Australian-owned contractor that delivers rigging, civil construction, RF and transmission integration, and structure upgrades and decommissioning for carriers and prime contractors nationwide.
You will lead integration, commissioning and carrier acceptance on a national pipeline of jobs, from greenfield builds to brownfield co-locations. The employer expects RF and Tx experience plus rigging tickets and solid structural knowledge, and you must be ready for national travel to remote and metro sites.
The position is full-time direct employment, not labour hire, classified under ANZSCO 313212. Because the employer has approval as a Standard Business Sponsor (Skills in Demand, Subclass 482), overseas candidates who are suitably qualified and on eligible visas may be considered. Australians come first in consideration.

Key Responsibilities
- Run integration for RF and transmission (Tx) systems on brownfield and greenfield sites
- Commission every site you integrate
- Secure carrier acceptance and build packs that meet carrier standard
- Install and commission RUs, feeders and antennas
- Set up outdoor cabinets and microwave dishes and bring them online
- Support riggers on structural work (upgrades, face frames, extensions) when required
- Enforce the company or client HSE system, with permits, SWMS, rescue plans and exclusion zones, and travel to remote and metro sites nationwide
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven telco Field Engineer experience across commissioning, carrier acceptance packs and RF and Tx integration
- Rigging ticket (Advanced or Intermediate)
- Current First Aid, EWP and Working at Heights
- Structural steelwork on telco towers, plus readiness to travel to remote sites and mobilise at short notice
- Open QLD driver's licence; MR/HR and other tickets are an advantage
