This is a leadership job for a qualified painter. A painting company with more than 25 years in Western Australia's residential and commercial sector needs a Painter & Decorator Team Leader for its Painting Division in Perth. The role is full-time and permanent.
You will lead a team on numerous sites and report to the Painting Manager. Expect a firm that values detail, on-time completion, specialty finishes, wallcoverings and strong customer relations. Painters from commercial construction fit best, and the work must be of a very high standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Painting Manager
- Drive and motivate your crew across numerous sites
- Take charge of projects and the team members working on them
- Provide fixes yourself, or solve problems together with the Painting Manager for a positive outcome, while enforcing a safe work environment under OSH policies, company procedures and induction manuals
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade Certified Painter
- Must have completed an apprenticeship
- Proven leading hand or 2IC experience
- Can manage projects and team members
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ready to solve problems or work with the Painting Manager to deliver a positive outcome
- A keen eye for detail in quality control
- Can read and understand project drawings, including floor plans and elevations
- Manual driver's license
- White card
- No subcontractors or ABN holders accepted
- EWP and/or Working at Heights ticket (desirable)
- First Aid (desirable)
- Experience in airless spraying (desirable)
- Current National Criminal History Check
