Here is a solid opportunity for a skilled cook. A restored seaside hospitality precinct in Melbourne, Victoria, is hiring a full-time Cook to prepare and cook food to a high standard under the direction of its senior chefs.
The precinct operates several restaurants, bars, a beer garden and function and event spaces. That means a busy kitchen and a guest list that changes from day to day. The employer wants experienced cooks who are serious about great food and about guest experience, and who can contribute to budgets and menu work within their own strengths. The roster rotates and covers weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities
- Get food prepared to a high standard, taking direction from the senior chefs
- Cook dishes to that same standard on the senior chefs' instructions
- Back the team in giving guests an exceptional experience when service is fast
- Put forward ideas for budgets and menu development where your expertise lies
- Work rotating shifts, with weekends and public holidays on the roster
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualified with relevant experience of at least 12 months; not trade qualified, then relevant experience of at least 3 years
- Proven experience with budgets and menu development in your area of expertise
- Can follow direction and deliver high standards
- Driven by fast-paced hospitality and a real passion for food
- Willing to learn, develop and grow professionally
- Works well in a team and communicates strongly
- Puts guests first and shows pride in the craft
- Flexible enough for a rotating roster with weekends and public holidays
