New owners have taken over a Sydney pub and they need an Assistant Chef who can handle real pressure. They want cooks or chefs who are enthusiastic, inventive and ambitious.
Their goal is clear. Renovate the hotel throughout, add more entertainment and build a lively local and sports venue where food is a big draw, with lunch and dinner served daily in several areas.
The work is casual. Shifts are Monday and Tuesday for lunch and dinner, and Saturday and Sunday for lunch or dinner, with more hours as trade picks up. Candidates who can start immediately are strongly preferred. The venue may be able to offer sponsorship opportunities to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve fresh, modern pub food, always to a high standard
- Keep quality, presentation and service standards consistent on every plate
- Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
- Follow food safety, hygiene and compliance standards as part of a positive, supportive kitchen team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial kitchen experience and the confidence to run with a busy service
- Reliable, punctual and with a great attitude, bringing positive energy and a strong team attitude
- Can work independently and follow the Head Chef's direction
- Pride in quality, consistent food, plus a real enjoyment of modern pub food and fresh produce
- Works well under pressure, fits into a team and is flexible across lunch, dinner and weekend services
