Key Responsibilities

Supervise, lead and mentor the nursing and personal care teams
Support Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers with their day-to-day practice
Provide residents with evidence-based nursing care of a high standard
Assess and monitor each resident's health condition
Respond promptly when a resident's health changes
Administer clinical treatments and medications with safety and accuracy
Prepare, implement and review a personalised care plan for every resident
Liaise with families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals
Document clinical care and maintain resident records accurately
Apply best practice in clinical governance and infection prevention
Comply with professional nursing requirements and aged care standards
Contribute to quality improvement work throughout the facility
Complete mandatory training and keep up with ongoing education

Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor of Nursing qualification and current unrestricted AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
Valid First Aid and CPR certificates, kept current
Highly regarded: previous residential aged care experience
Strong clinical assessment and care planning, backed by knowledge of Australian aged care standards and infection control practices
Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork, with a commitment to ethical, compassionate, resident-focused care
Current National Police Check, or be willing to obtain one
COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations kept current in line with employer requirements
