A Western Australian transport and tourism company, family-owned and running a busy fleet of coaches and buses, is hiring a Heavy Diesel Mechanic in Perth. The brief is simple and clear, keep the fleet safe, reliable and well presented through servicing, modification, diagnosis and repair, with occasional trips to other WA locations.
Here is what matters before you apply. You must already be in Australia and hold current Australian work rights. Employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified applicants. Bus or coach experience is highly regarded but not required. Work can be casual or full-time, hours and shifts are agreed at interview, and applications close on 21 November 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections and maintenance so every vehicle meets company standards
- Find and fix faults on a range of heavy vehicles
- Handle servicing work on the heavy fleet
- Fit mechanical components and repair them
- Keep the fleet's repair history and records matching manufacturer specifications and the WA omnibus vehicle maintenance program
- Support upkeep of the monitoring setup: GPS tracking, CCTV, wifi, sensors and communications
- Log services online, help keep the workshop in shape and test drive vehicles as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- A heavy commercial vehicle mechanical trade qualification (or similar)
- Time spent on heavy diesel vehicles; buses and coaches preferred, not essential
- Strong diagnostic ability
- Know-how in WA transport compliance requirements
- Current Australian working rights and a current driver's licence (HR class highly regarded)
- A working at heights certificate and relevant high risk work licences, or willingness to obtain them
