Chef de Partie, full-time, Wollongong. A wedding and events venue near the city wants a section chef for its catering team, and it wants that person now.
This is volume cooking. The menus are European, the functions are big and service runs fast. You will lead a section, support the Head Chef and train junior staff. The venue sits within a group of five wedding venues, and the employer is clear that it wants someone who will stay; Sous Chef is the route up.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead your section from prep to the pass for weddings and events
- Shape menus and tastings with the Head Chef
- Roll out seasonal menu changes
- Enforce food safety in the kitchen
- Run ordering and stock control tightly, and train junior chefs and kitchen hands
- Cook and serve catering at other venues in the group
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3 years' culinary experience, including CDP time or strong Demi experience
- Plating for large numbers without quality slipping
- Food safety certification (or obtain it within 30 days of starting) and a Drivers License, required
