Permanent, full-time work is on offer for an experienced MIG Welder at a busy trailer manufacturing operation. This is not a welding-only job: you need real-world experience in trailer fitting, assembly and installing mechanical and electrical components, and you should be able to show it.

You will be part of trailer production from structural fabrication all the way to final system checks. Accuracy, consistency and practical problem-solving count throughout.

Key Responsibilities

Check weld integrity, dimensions and the quality of the finished assembly
MIG weld steel chassis, trailer frames and associated components
Interpret drawings, measurements and welding specifications before work begins
Prepare, position and assemble fabricated sections of each trailer
Fit trailer chassis, suspension, braking and other components
Install air, electrical and hydraulic systems where required, and fit accessories and customised features
Operate welding machines, hand tools and measuring equipment correctly
Test installed systems before a job is completed
Report any materials, components or workmanship that do not conform
Follow safe and organised workshop practices
Coordinate with other production team members to keep workflow steady and meet quality, safety and production standards

Requirements & Eligibility

Strong steel MIG welding capability, backed by at least 2 years of practical welding experience
Previous experience assembling or manufacturing trailers
Can understand and work from technical drawings and blueprints, and is competent with workshop tools and measuring equipment
Hands-on knowledge of trailer chassis, braking and suspension components
Advantageous: experience with hydraulic, air or electrical trailer systems
Genuine hands-on trade experience that you can demonstrate, plus strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship
Reliable attendance and a dependable approach to production responsibilities
Safety-conscious in a manufacturing environment
Welding certification: advantageous, but not essential
