Qualified Waterproofer and Qualified Tiler wanted for a construction and renovation business in Queensland, working on ongoing residential and commercial projects.

Papers alone are not enough. You need a genuine technical background, real site experience and a strong focus on quality, and you must be comfortable proving your qualifications, employment history and practical skills during recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

Follow relevant Australian Standards, site procedures and WHS requirements, and keep work areas safe, tidy and organised
Waterproof bathrooms, balconies, wet areas and structural applications, preparing surfaces and substrates first
Apply membranes, sealants and related products and complete installations in line with project requirements
Inspect surfaces and finished waterproofing for quality and compliance, and rectify tiling quality issues where required
Work with builders, tilers and other trades, coordinating tiling with waterproofing and other site works
Deliver accurate, professional workmanship on every assigned project
Carry out wall and floor tiling on residential and commercial projects
Measure, cut and position tiles accurately, then grout, seal and finish in detail
Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
Prepare surfaces to achieve suitable tiling conditions

Requirements & Eligibility

Recognised Waterproofing Qualification (waterproofing role)
Certificate III in Wall & Floor Tiling or equivalent (tiling role)
Minimum two years of relevant industry experience preferred for the waterproofing role
Minimum two years of relevant industry experience preferred for the tiling role
Waterproofing role: demonstrated practical experience across residential or commercial waterproofing projects, knowledge of waterproofing practices, building requirements and WHS procedures, and the ability to work effectively alongside other construction trades
Tiling role: demonstrated hands-on wall and floor tiling experience and strong attention to detail, measurements and finished presentation
Tiling role: ability to interpret plans, drawings and specifications, with a practical understanding of surface preparation and waterproofing requirements
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (both roles)
White Card (both roles)
Supporting evidence of qualifications and employment experience, plus willingness to complete relevant verification and recruitment checks (both roles)
Eligible for employer sponsorship (both roles)
