Warehouse Storeperson

A construction and building supplies business in Kings Park, Sydney needs an experienced Warehouse Storeperson. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, not just forklift driving or picking and packing.

You will manage materials, prepare customer orders, keep stock accurate, assist with deliveries and keep the warehouse safe and efficient day to day. The employer wants a practical, dependable operator who understands warehouse discipline and can walk into an Australian workplace with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of each day's warehouse priorities and get orders completed correctly and on time
Receive, unload and check incoming stock, then use the forklift safely to store and move materials
Prepare customer orders, picking and checking each one
Palletise, label, shrink-wrap and secure goods for transport, and load materials safely onto trucks and other vehicles
Organise products so stock can be found and dispatched without delay
Deliver construction materials to local work sites and collect materials from them
Log warehouse equipment movements and assist with stock monitoring and scheduled stocktakes
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised
Deal professionally with customers, drivers and site personnel

Requirements & Eligibility

Hands-on warehouse experience in a previous role
Practical, strong experience operating forklifts
Current Australian LF forklift licence or eligibility to obtain the required licence
Can safely handle materials of up to 25kg
Good communication and customer-service skills; able to work independently and manage your daily priorities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with stock
Reliable and responsible in your approach to work
Advantageous: experience in construction, building supplies, logistics or a related environment
Highly regarded: a current HR licence
Advantageous: small truck driving experience
Willing to combine local delivery work with warehouse duties
Clear, demonstrable and verifiable employment history relevant to the position, and the ability to satisfy Australian employment and, where applicable, visa requirements
