Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and operational procedures
  • Work hands-on and stay active on the floor when service gets busy
  • Motivate and guide employees into a capable, committed hospitality team
  • Onboard new staff and support their training, coaching and continued development
  • Sort out rosters and staffing for efficient operations
  • Watch stock levels, ordering and inventory processes
  • Keep costs under control and make responsible use of venue resources
  • Hold the venue to high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally with practical solutions
  • Track business performance
  • Contribute to sales and growth initiatives
  • Build a positive workplace culture grounded in teamwork, accountability and respect

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Relevant employment history supported by professional references and appropriate verification
  • At least 3 years of relevant hospitality, restaurant or venue management experience
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a hospitality team
  • Experience running the operational side of a busy venue, staying organised and effective when it gets hectic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident, hands-on way of leading
  • Background in rostering, staff coordination and inventory management
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving, with the ability to push sales performance and operational targets
  • Commitment to keeping professional workplace and safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
