Vehicle Wrap Installer / Sign Writer

Key Responsibilities

  • Fit vinyl with accuracy over curves, recesses and edges and around difficult vehicle contours
  • Carry out full and partial vehicle wraps as well as spot graphic installations
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces and panels properly so applications are clean and reliable
  • Produce the same standard of result on single vehicles and on fleet projects
  • Inspect your finished work and manage installation tasks efficiently, meeting quality expectations and high standards of finish and presentation
  • Coordinate with designers to make sure printed artwork is applied in the right position
  • Do the laminating, weeding, cutting and other graphic finishing
  • Assist with signage production and installation where required
  • Keep clients informed about installation requirements and the finished work
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
  • Work effectively alone and as part of the team

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Holder of a valid Australian C Class driver's licence
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time vehicle wrapping and sign writing experience
  • Strong evidence of your hands-on vehicle wrapping experience
  • A resume plus a portfolio showing previous work, including completed professional wrapping projects
  • Full-wrap experience on vehicles with complex shapes and contours
  • Good technical knowledge of application techniques, vinyl films and laminates
  • Ability to turn out precise, high-quality finishes consistently, backed by strong attention to detail and professional workmanship
  • Clear communication with clients and colleagues, and the ability to manage tasks independently to expected standards
  • 3M, Avery Dennison or Arlon product experience is advantageous
  • A manufacturer wrap certification is advantageous
  • Holding an EWP, Working at Heights or White Card is advantageous
  • Paint protection film preparation or vehicle detailing experience is advantageous
  • Light fabrication or welding experience is advantageous
  • Sponsorship available to a suitably qualified candidate
