Underground Electrician

Key Responsibilities

Follow the site's electrical procedures and safety requirements at all times
Carry out isolations and other electrical safety processes as required
Maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems underground
Complete preventative maintenance tasks on schedule
Respond quickly to breakdowns and operational issues
Conduct electrical inspections and testing, then diagnose faults
Carry out effective repairs once electrical faults have been identified
Make certain that equipment runs safely and reliably
Support production and maintenance activities below ground
Record all maintenance work correctly and keep documentation in order
Cooperate with other trades and operational personnel, join training, mentoring and professional development, and push for continuous improvement and equipment reliability

Requirements & Eligibility

You hold a current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
Your electrical trade qualification is Australian-recognised
You have at least 3 years' electrical industry experience
You hold a current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
You can work 12-hour shifts and are willing to work a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
You bring solid safety awareness and a professional work ethic
Desirable: experience in mining
Advantageous: experience in underground mining
Desirable: an HV Switching ticket
Desirable: Working at Heights certification
Desirable: a High Risk Work Licence
