Telecommunications Field Engineer

This is a genuine, long-term role with a verified Australian employer: an established telecommunications infrastructure contractor that delivers critical network projects across the country for major telecommunications providers.
They need an experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work across integration, commissioning and telecommunications infrastructure. Expect large-scale network deployments, experienced colleagues and nationally significant projects with a reputable employer.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to project sites in metropolitan, regional and remote parts of Australia when required
- Comply with workplace health and safety procedures, permits and risk controls, and meet quality assurance requirements
- Handle RF and transmission integration, commissioning, testing and network acceptance on telecommunications infrastructure projects
- Install, configure and commission antennas, radio equipment and transmission systems
- Install, configure and commission microwave links, feeders, outdoor cabinets and the associated network hardware
- Support tower upgrades, equipment installs, structural modifications and infrastructure expansion work
- Produce commissioning reports, testing documentation and carrier acceptance records to the required industry standards
- Find and fix technical faults that arise during installation, commissioning and network integration
- Work as one team with engineering, project management and field crews to deliver projects successfully
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current driver's licence (extra heavy vehicle licences or relevant industry tickets are advantageous)
- Proven track record as a Telecommunications Field Engineer, strong in RF and transmission integration, including commissioning telecommunications equipment and completing carrier acceptance documentation
- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification, plus current Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid certifications
- Hands-on work on telecommunications towers, structural steel installations or infrastructure upgrades
- Willing and able to travel extensively across Australia, regional and remote locations included
- Strong grasp of safety, quality and Australian telecommunications industry standards, with excellent troubleshooting, communication and teamwork
