The work covers passenger vehicles and used vehicles in a modern workshop, where you will handle diagnostics, servicing, repairs and inspections alongside an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete pre-delivery inspections and the vehicle safety checks that apply
- Use professional diagnostic equipment to diagnose mechanical and electronic faults
- Carry out routine and logbook servicing as well as scheduled maintenance
- Perform mechanical repairs on a variety of passenger vehicles and brands, plus warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, repair manuals and technical information
- Enter completed repairs accurately in workshop software
- Spot additional repairs needed and report your findings clearly to the service team
- Stick to dealership workshop procedures, workplace safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Keep your work area clean, organised and efficient
- Take part in technical training and keep current with new vehicle systems and repair methods
- Collaborate with other technicians and support apprentices where required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Valid Australian driver's licence, and preferably able to drive a manual
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent recognised qualification, plus a valid Motor Mechanic Trade Licence
- Minimum 2–3 years' relevant hands-on experience in automotive work
- Proven practical experience in servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
- Confidence working on different vehicle brands and models
- Knowledge of automotive technical manuals, wiring diagrams and OEM procedures
- Manufacturer warranty repair process experience is advantageous
- Competence using diagnostic scan tools and workshop management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate workmanship
- Reliable and punctual, and able to work effectively in a team
- Ability to show evidence of relevant qualifications and employment experience
