What you can do counts more than what you claim. This role is for experienced Hair Stylists whose practical ability, client experience and professional background can be clearly proven, not just listed on a CV.

Key Responsibilities

Keep salon hygiene, presentation and workplace standards high
Deliver professional cutting, styling and colour treatments to suit each client's requirements
Assess what clients need and recommend the right professional options
Produce consistent, high-quality work on every service
Build relationships with new and repeat clients, develop a loyal personal clientele and keep them coming back
Manage a well-organised, productive appointment schedule
Give every client a welcoming and professional experience
Work alongside other stylists and salon staff, sharing your knowledge to support a positive team
Take part in professional training and hair education, building knowledge of current techniques, products and trends
Take responsibility for the quality and consistency of every finished service

Requirements & Eligibility

Sponsorship available for eligible candidates; applicants must meet the relevant requirements for sponsored employment in New Zealand
At least 3 years of hands-on professional work in cutting and colouring
NZ Level 4 Hairdressing Certificate or an equivalent qualification recognised internationally (experienced candidates may be considered where formal qualifications differ)
Practical hairdressing skills you can demonstrate, supported by genuine work experience, including confidently performing professional cutting and colouring
Strong skills in client consultation and dealing with people
Ability to build trust and keep client relationships going over the long term
Professional attitude to customer service and workplace duties
Able to work effectively within a team
Willing to keep developing technically and professionally
Genuine evidence supporting your qualifications and previous employment, which you can provide
