This is a full-time Stonemason job in Queensland, and it is meant for people who can actually do the work. The employer wants an experienced tradesperson with established stone fabrication and installation skills.
Day to day, you will handle stone on residential and construction projects. Measurements and technical plans go in; finished installations such as benchtops, splashbacks and custom stone features come out. The focus is on practical capability, attention to detail and results that are accurate and professional every single time.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate specialised stoneworking machines and hand tools
- Keep tools and equipment well maintained and fit for use
- Go through technical plans and specifications before starting any stone job
- Measure accurately and calculate the materials required
- Cut, shape, polish and finish stone as each project demands
- Get stone components prepared and ready to install
- Install benchtops, splashbacks, architectural features, fireplaces, barbecues and custom stone applications
- Quality-check every finished job for alignment, measurements, finish and overall standard
- Liaise with installation teams and other trades so project requirements are coordinated
- Fix any measurement, fabrication or installation issue that comes up, while applying health and safety procedures throughout the work
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience relevant to the role
- Formal trade training or a recognised stonemasonry qualification
- A stonemasonry trade certificate
- Proven hands-on track record in fabricating and installing stone
- Strong skill in reading technical drawings and specifications
- Competent with professional stone cutting, shaping and finishing tools
- Careful attention to precision, measurements and finish quality, backed by practical problem-solving in fabrication and installation work
- Able to work independently and still contribute effectively as part of a team
- Good physical capacity to lift, handle and install stone materials
- Committed to safe work practices and professional workmanship
- Ability to back up your qualifications and relevant employment experience with supporting evidence (visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates)
