Key Responsibilities

Follow safety and site procedures on every job and keep the work area clean, safe and organised
Use hand tools, power tools and roofing equipment safely
Carry out roofing tasks in elevated work environments
Install and finish commercial roofing systems
Handle metal roofing and cladding installations
Install wall cladding, flashings and associated roofing components
Work to plans, drawings and project specifications
Measure, cut and position roofing materials with accuracy
Assist with preparing and moving roofing materials
Hold high workmanship standards throughout each project
Spot workmanship or installation problems and report them, coordinating with supervisors and other trades on active sites
Support the team with general roofing and cladding activities as required

Requirements & Eligibility

You will need to provide photographs, portfolio examples or other evidence of your previous roofing work
You will also need employment or trade history that backs up the experience you claim
Demonstrated professional roofing experience on commercial or industrial construction projects
Proven metal roofing experience preferred
Hands-on knowledge of how roofing and cladding are installed
Ability to work at heights safely and with confidence
Ability to understand construction plans and specifications and follow them
Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
Competence with standard roofing tools and equipment
A reliable, punctual and committed work approach, with effective communication and cooperation on site
Relevant roofing trade qualification highly regarded
Current driver's licence preferred
Willingness to relocate and work in South Australia
