Pumber and Gasfitter

An established business in New Zealand is hiring a qualified, experienced Plumber & Gasfitter as its operations grow.

The work is varied, covering a range of plumbing and gasfitting projects, and you will be joining a friendly team with plenty of experience. The employer offers reliable employment and potential visa sponsorship for an experienced tradesperson.

Note that a recognised plumbing qualification and a recognised gasfitting qualification are both listed in the requirements. Have your certificates ready before you apply.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders, and work collaboratively with other trades and the team
Install and repair plumbing, and carry out gasfitting installation and servicing
Carry out maintenance and fault-finding
Take on commercial plumbing projects where required
Assess what each job requires, choose the appropriate solution and follow the plans, specifications and technical requirements
Ensure all completed work meets quality and safety standards
Keep tools, equipment and work areas in good condition

Requirements & Eligibility

A recognised qualification in plumbing and a recognised qualification in gasfitting
Relevant industry experience that is hands-on
Strong understanding of gasfitting practices and plumbing systems
Commercial experience preferred
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable and professional in your approach
Strong workmanship with attention to detail
Good communication and customer service skills
