Pub & Restaurant Management Position

Management role at an established pub and restaurant. The venue needs an experienced Hospitality Manager who will take charge of daily operations, build a strong team culture and keep service under control when the venue is busy.

You must understand what hospitality management involves in practice: rostering, stock control, customer service, staff development and keeping the venue up to standard. You will work side by side with the owner while staying active in the operation. Provide only accurate, verifiable details of your experience, and never pay anyone who promises to get you hired.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure RSA compliance and promote responsible service of alcohol
Run daily pub and restaurant operations
Direct and coordinate staff throughout service
Prepare rosters and assist with payroll
Monitor inventory and assist with purchasing and ordering stock, keeping track of stock usage and operating costs
Coach, support and motivate team members
Lead from the floor and help with service when required
Keep customer service standards consistently high
Support recruitment, induction and ongoing training
Keep the venue clean and presentable to a high standard
Identify and implement operational improvements with the owner
Handle daily issues, make firm decisions under pressure and contribute to a positive, professional, accountable culture

Requirements & Eligibility

Current and valid RSA certification
Must be 18 years or older
Demonstrated experience in hospitality
Previous supervisory or management experience
Proven ability to lead and manage hospitality staff
Strong customer service and communication skills
Confident and professional when dealing with customers and employees
Can manage busy service periods effectively, with strong organisational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and take responsibility for operational decisions
Willing to be hands-on with venue operations
Reliable, committed and able to travel reliably to and from work
Able to provide verifiable evidence of relevant hospitality experience
Must meet applicable sponsorship requirements
