Key Responsibilities

Monitor quality and compliance with project requirements, identifying construction issues and helping develop practical technical solutions
Coordinate day-to-day engineering and construction activity on major building projects, including planning and monitoring formwork and concrete structural works
Manage the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and construction teams
Act as a link for technical matters between consultants, engineers and subcontractors, and support clear communication between site and project stakeholders
Review drawings, specifications and engineering documentation
Assist with programming, sequencing and construction planning, then monitor progress against schedules and key milestones
Support contract administration and project reporting, keeping records, documentation and progress reports accurate
Back up senior project staff in delivering and coordinating the project
Contribute to construction works being completed safely, efficiently and on schedule

Requirements & Eligibility

Ability to demonstrate and verify your relevant qualifications and professional experience
Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management
2–5+ years of relevant post-graduate experience in construction
Proven experience with formwork and concrete structures
Experience on high-rise, commercial or large-scale building projects
Background working with a construction subcontractor, with strong subcontractor coordination and management capability
Understanding of construction programming and work sequencing, along with contract administration experience
Relevant overseas construction experience is welcomed
Good technical, communication and organisational skills
Ability to satisfy Australian employment and sponsorship requirements
