Key Responsibilities

Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times, operating machinery, tools and workshop equipment safely
Carry out welding and fabrication on customised projects, producing quality components in steel, aluminium and stainless-steel
Interpret technical plans, workshop drawings and project specifications
Decide on suitable welding techniques and fabrication methods
Undertake installation and field work as required
Identify issues on the job and solve them with practical trade knowledge
Cooperate with project teams to meet deadlines and quality outcomes
Keep up accuracy, attention to detail and professional workmanship
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and technical knowledge

Requirements & Eligibility

Demonstrated experience in professional welding and fabrication environments
Relevant trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking, Welding, or a similar trade
Able to show strong technical skills and a record of previous projects
Competence in reading and understanding engineering drawings
Experience with a range of metals and fabrication processes
Strong commitment to workplace safety, reliability and quality
Effective working independently and within a team, with a practical, detail-oriented way of solving problems
Willing to do workshop-based work as well as occasional site-based duties
Overseas-qualified tradespeople with verifiable experience are encouraged to apply
