Mechanical / HVAC Site Manager

Senior site position, Western Australia. The employer is after a Site Manager with a proven history on large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction jobs, and the role is ideal for experienced professionals from Australia, New Zealand or the UK.

Your core task: run on-site delivery of big D&C HVAC packages, partnering with the project team so that work finishes safely, on schedule and to a high standard. Projects range across major healthcare, defence, government, education, aviation, hospitality, data centre and commercial builds.

Key Responsibilities

Work hand in hand with Project Managers and the engineering team
Be responsible for all daily HVAC installation activity on site
Direct the mechanical trades and subcontractors and keep their work coordinated
Make sure works track against the agreed construction programme
Inspect installation work and fix defects where needed
Enforce safety and compliance to a high standard
Work out what HVAC drawings, specifications and technical requirements call for
Deal with builders, consultants and other stakeholders on the project
Sort out construction, installation and technical problems, and help handle variations and changes to the project
Ensure labour, materials and site resources are well coordinated

Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum 4 years in HVAC or mechanical construction, with that experience coming from Australia, New Zealand or the UK
Background on large commercial jobs in HVAC or mechanical services
Tier 1 construction experience strongly preferred
Solid knowledge of HVAC systems and installation processes, and you can read technical drawings and specifications and put them into practice
A trade or engineering qualification that is relevant, or extensive experience in the industry
Has shown they can manage subcontractors and teams, with excellent stakeholder management and communication
