A Queensland workshop is hiring mechanics and apprentices, and the message is simple: show what you can do. Practical capability, genuine experience and professional reliability count for more than what is written on a CV.

The door is open to apprentices, people completing a Job Ready Program, qualified mechanics and applicants with relevant overseas automotive experience. Your real skills and experience can be recognised in a professional workshop, so be ready to prove them honestly.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose faults with the right testing methods and equipment, carrying out diagnostic and fault-finding work
Inspect each vehicle and assess its mechanical condition
Identify what repairs are needed and recommend suitable solutions
Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements, completing assigned jobs efficiently and to a high standard
Complete routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
Operate workshop tools and diagnostic equipment correctly and safely
Follow the workshop's procedures and safety standards and keep professional standards in all repair and servicing work
Work independently or alongside team members as needed
Keep developing your technical knowledge and practical skills

Requirements & Eligibility

Automotive Mechanic or Apprentice Mechanic background, or another relevant automotive background
Applications are encouraged from 1st Year and 2nd Year Apprentices, and Experienced and Qualified Mechanics are welcome to apply
Candidates completing a Job Ready Program may be considered, and overseas applicants with relevant automotive experience are encouraged to apply
Demonstrated hands-on vehicle servicing and mechanical repair experience
Automotive diagnostics and fault-finding experience is advantageous
Ability to prove genuine, practical automotive capability
Reliable, punctual, accountable and professional, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship and safe work practices
Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team, plus the motivation to build and strengthen a long-term automotive career
