Maintenance Fitter needed for an established manufacturing operation in Australia. The employer wants genuine, hands-on mechanical maintenance experience and qualifications that match.

You will need to show your trade background, your Australian maintenance experience and that you can work safely in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Comply with workplace safety requirements
Ensure all equipment is kept to a safe operating standard
Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment to operation
Investigate faults and complete mechanical repairs
Maintain mechanical production equipment, including conveyor systems and mechanical components
Work on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Inspect machinery for signs of wear, damage and potential failure
Carry out preventative maintenance programs
Log maintenance work in the CMMS and record completed maintenance and repair activities
Liaise with production personnel while maintenance is carried out
Assist engineering and maintenance improvement activities
Help keep production operations smooth and continuous

Requirements & Eligibility

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade is essential
At least 1 year of Australian maintenance experience is essential
Eligible candidates must satisfy applicable 482 sponsorship requirements
Current residence in Australia
Willingness to relocate within NSW
Demonstrated hands-on work in industrial mechanical maintenance
Manufacturing or FMCG experience is highly regarded
Strong mechanical troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and fix equipment faults
A working understanding of preventative maintenance practice
A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and a reliable, professional employment record
Ability to produce evidence of relevant qualifications and experience
