Commercial landscaping rewards workers who can get a site ready properly, work with accuracy and deliver a quality result from the first stage to the last. A professional team in the Northern Territory needs a skilled Commercial Landscaper for its ongoing landscape construction projects.

Excavation and site preparation
Drainage and irrigation
Paving and retaining structures
Turfing, planting and general hard and soft landscaping

The employer is specifically after experienced tradespeople whose qualifications, experience and practical ability can be verified, who accept responsibility for their own work and who want a genuine long-term position. Key Responsibilities

Run plant, machinery and landscaping equipment safely
Handle site preparation, excavation and groundworks, including accurate set-out, levelling and base preparation
Fit drainage systems and irrigation
Construct retaining walls, paving, edging, minor concrete elements and other landscape structures
Lay turf and install plants, mulch and further softscape features
Carry out general commercial landscape construction tasks to a consistent quality, with attention to detail
Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean and in order
Obey workplace health and safety procedures without exception
Meet project schedules and construction targets by working efficiently, and keep supervisors and co-workers informed
Work alone when required, back the wider team and uphold professional standards on all commercial worksites

Requirements & Eligibility

Current White Card: essential
Current full driver's licence: essential, together with your own reliable transport: essential
MR driver's licence: advantageous
Working with Children Card (OCHRE), or be willing to obtain it
DCAC for Robertson Barracks: advantageous
Minimum 2 years' proven landscape construction experience that you can demonstrate hands-on
Strong practical grasp of the processes used in commercial landscaping
Having a relevant formal qualification in landscaping is advantageous
Serious commitment to safe work and quality workmanship
Dependable, on time and committed to your employment
Physically capable of outdoor landscape construction work
Can work effectively in a team or independently, and willing to commit to a stable, long-term position
Permanent Australian work rights preferred; temporary residents need not apply
Visa sponsorship can be arranged for eligible applicants
