HR Manager

An established and growing business based in New South Wales (NSW) needs an experienced HR Manager to run its people function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the business complies with Australian employment legislation and workplace policies
  • Prepare and manage employee sponsorship and visa-related paperwork
  • Drive talent acquisition and plan the workforce
  • Design and deliver onboarding as well as employee engagement programs
  • Guide the business through employee relations matters, workplace investigations and conflicts
  • Back managers on performance management and the development of their people
  • Keep employee records and the HR information system accurate
  • Coordinate payroll and handle HR administration
  • Assess and upgrade HR policies, procedures and best practices, finding ways to make HR processes and operations more efficient
  • Push employee wellbeing and return-to-work initiatives
  • Build strong relationships at every level and support leadership with organisational planning and change
  • Grow the business through effective people management while contributing to a positive, collaborative, high-performing culture

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Experience managing employee sponsorships and visa processes: preferred
  • Prior work as a Human Resources Manager or Senior HR Generalist
  • Thorough knowledge of Australian employment laws and Modern Awards
  • Proven recruitment, employee relations and performance management experience
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management, plus a high level of written and verbal communication
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities at pace, with strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • HR management systems experience: advantageous
  • Connecteam and Xero Payroll knowledge: desirable
  • Highly regarded: a background in hospitality, retail, manufacturing or similar operational industries
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, committed to producing high-quality HR outcomes
