A hospitality operation on the Gold Coast is recruiting an experienced Housekeeping Manager at executive level. You will own housekeeping performance, coordinate the team and make sure rooms are always ready for guests.
No formal qualification is required, but your experience must speak for itself. The employer wants someone who can clearly demonstrate past responsibilities, team leadership and the ability to cope with the demands of a busy hotel. You will keep operations organised, hold quality standards and work closely with hotel leadership for consistent results.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a professional team culture centred on accountability, service and quality
- Take charge of day-to-day housekeeping operations and team performance
- Plan daily workloads and assign responsibilities in line with operational priorities
- Run team briefings and spell out service expectations clearly
- Confirm every room meets the required standard before guests arrive
- Work alongside hotel leadership to maintain and raise housekeeping quality
- Assess staffing needs, coordinate resources as demand shifts, and manage housekeeping rosters and daily administration
- Keep health, safety and compliance procedures accurate
- Support billing and other operational processes
- Monitor standards, act promptly on performance issues, and identify operational problems and fix them practically
- Keep communication open between housekeeping staff and hotel management
- Complete effective shift handovers so operations carry on smoothly
Requirements & Eligibility
- Candidates must be able to substantiate their relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated experience managing hotel housekeeping operations
- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping professional is highly regarded
- Proven ability to supervise, coordinate and motivate a housekeeping team
- Strong grasp of hotel room standards and guest expectations
- Able to show genuine hands-on experience relevant to the position
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a busy hotel
- Confident in solving operational problems
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and a strong commitment to compliance and professional standards
- Understanding of annualised budgets and operational costs
- Professional presentation and a service-focused attitude
- Available for weekends and public holidays when required
