Established operations across Victoria want Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics with genuine hands-on experience. Workshop repairs or mobile field service, either strength works, but your practical skills and employment background will weigh heavily in selection. Have verifiable records ready.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose diesel-related, electrical and mechanical faults
Service and maintain heavy commercial vehicles
Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Repair and fault-find across heavy vehicle systems, including breakdown repairs and corrective maintenance
Inspect trucks, trailers and associated parts
Apply mechanical testing procedures and diagnostic equipment
Work across customer fleets and a range of truck brands
Take on field service or workshop assignments as required
Keep repair documentation and service records, and maintain tools, equipment and service vehicles in good order
Stick to workplace health, safety and quality procedures
Collaborate with supervisors and fellow technicians

Requirements & Eligibility

Essential: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Proven hands-on experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with demonstrated servicing, repair and diagnostic capability
Genuine, verifiable employment history in heavy vehicle mechanics, with evidence of relevant qualifications and work experience you can provide
Current Australian driver's licence and Australian working rights appropriate to the position
Strong mechanical problem-solving
Commitment to safe, high-quality work
Able to work alone and as part of a technical team
Willing to work in field service or workshop environments
