Qualified heavy vehicle mechanic? A Western Australian fleet needs someone who can diagnose faults confidently, complete repairs and keep vehicles maintained to a high professional standard.

You will work on buses, coaches, prime movers, light vehicles, cranes and small plant. FIFO and residential opportunities are both available, and 482 visa sponsorship is offered to eligible candidates. Check every detail of any offer carefully and never pay money to anyone promising you a job.

Key Responsibilities

Stick to operational, safety and compliance procedures on every job
Service a mixed fleet of heavy vehicles and keep it maintained
Deliver preventative maintenance programs
Find the cause of mechanical faults
Decide on the correct repair solution
Carry out mechanical repairs
Replace components when needed
Work on diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems
Respond to breakdowns and handle field maintenance work
Inspect vehicles to find maintenance needs
Hold workmanship and safety to a high standard
Finish the workshop and maintenance tasks given to you efficiently

Requirements & Eligibility

Current driver's licence; HR desirable
Trade-qualified as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Bus Mechanic
Relevant heavy vehicle or commercial fleet experience
Has worked on buses, coaches, trucks or comparable equipment
Good mechanical diagnostic ability
Good fault-finding capability
Comfortable handling a varied range of vehicles
Able to work in regional and remote WA locations
Reliable, adaptable and safety-conscious
Can satisfy pre-employment medical requirements
Can satisfy drug and alcohol screening requirements
