A professional salon team in Queensland needs a Senior Hairdresser with proven skills to offer. You should bring established technical ability, confident client consultation skills and genuine hands-on salon experience.

The right stylist will deliver quality results without close supervision and keep developing within a recognised salon network. The role starts with flexible hours and has the potential to progress into full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

Keep the salon tidy, clean, organised and welcoming
Deliver professional cutting, styling and colouring, using contemporary colour techniques with attention to detail
Consult clients on their preferred style and colour, assess the condition of their hair and recommend what suits them
Maintain consistent, high-quality results whatever the service
Build lasting professional relationships and keep clients satisfied
Keep your personal presentation and professionalism at a high standard
Work well with the other experienced professionals in the salon
Take part in salon training and ongoing skills development, and stay current with hair trends, techniques and industry practice

Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum 3 years of professional work as a qualified hairdresser
Proven hands-on salon experience that appropriate employment evidence can verify
A consistent professional employment history you are able to demonstrate
Relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
Strong practical skills in cutting, styling and modern colour work
Confident when conducting professional consultations with clients
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, approachable and committed to delivering quality work, with willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
Able to commit for at least 5 months or longer
Flexible availability, with potential to transition from part-time to full-time
