Senior Hairdresser wanted at an established salon in Victoria.

The salon needs someone with genuine hands-on experience across cutting, colouring and styling, someone who sees their work as a reflection of technical ability, client relationships and professional standards. You will join a supportive team, deliver consistent high-quality work and communicate confidently with clients, with a chance to develop and grow a personal clientele over time.

Key Responsibilities

Keep an organised, hygienic workstation and high standards of technical workmanship and presentation
Consult clients on their individual hair requirements and recommend suitable care routines and products
Cut hair with precision using scissors, thinning scissors and clippers
Provide men's haircuts and styling
Handle colouring, highlighting, chemical straightening and other applicable treatments
Shampoo, condition and prep the scalp
Style for formal occasions, events and professional sessions, including braiding and hair pieces when required
Tailor styling to each client's preferences
Build professional client relationships that lead to retention and a loyal clientele
Support a cooperative salon environment

Requirements & Eligibility

Industry experience of a maximum of 5 years
Professional hairdressing experience backed by practical skills you can demonstrate
Strong in cutting, colouring and styling, with hands-on highlighting and chemical treatment experience
Confident with both men's and women's haircuts and competent in event and occasion styling
Solid understanding of hair care and product recommendations
Strong at client consultation and communication
Reliable, punctual, professionally presented, and friendly and confident with customers
Team player with a commitment to quality and attention to detail
Flexible about working hours
